Rose Petal Sugar
(Remember to use insecticide and chemical free rose petals)
Ingredients needed:
1 (8-oz.) Mason jar
Sugar to fill jar
1/2 c. rose petals
1/4 c. rose geranium leaves
Sugar to fill jar
1/2 c. rose petals
1/4 c. rose geranium leaves
Pour sugar in Mason jar. Add petals and leaves. Seal the container and leave it in cupboard for about a month. Remove the dried petals and leaves. Serve with rose hip tea. Garnish with a few rose petals.
Rose Petal Syrup
(Remember to use insecticide and chemical free rose petals)
Ingredients needed:
2 (8-oz.) Mason jars
1 lb. granulated sugar (or more for a thicker syrup)
Rose petals (enough to fill jars)
1 lb. granulated sugar (or more for a thicker syrup)
Rose petals (enough to fill jars)
Pour boiling water over petals in jars. Place jars in a dark place for three days. Strain and remove petals. Pour liquid in saucepan. Add sugar. Heat to a boil, stirring constantly. Store syrup in jars.
